I am a Notary living in Palm Coast, Florida. My fees are no more than the list above. I do however charge the minum of 10.00 to leave my house to go to yours plus the notary fees. If mileage is over 5 miles, then a charge of .50 cent a mile will be charged after that. I will not Notarize anything that is already signed or if no Identification is present!

Becoming A Notary

I decided to get certified as a notary. I personally can't stand having to get things notarized, but I realized there aren't that many notaries out there. If you go to a bank you have to sit and wait. If you have a notary come to you, they charge you alot. Like if you look at the prices up, this is the legal amount to charge, a notary is not allowed to charge any higher than these fees or they can lose their right to notarize. Unfortunately, a notary can not notarize a family members items. So even becoming a notary doesn't help me out with my problem.
If you are interested in becoming a notary try http://www.notarybonding.com/ , they are the cheapest!
I got the basic stuff and my training was $70.06 and my commission will last for 4 years. It cost more if you want to buy more supplies, but to start out you just need the basic stuff.
Also, you can register at http://www.notaryrotary.com/ to advertise your Notary Public services.
Why not try it you make like it! Also, be careful, don't notarize anything without identification. Also, read the paperwork before you notarize it. If it is something high profile, I would send them elsewhere, if you feel uneasy. Good Luck!
